On the eve of the election season 2010-2011, the issue of the correspondence of the Belarusian electoral legislation to the  international norms and democratic standards becomes particularly relevant. Belarus Public Policy Fund (BPPF) presents the work of Sergei Alfer, who analyzed the norms of the Belarusian electoral legislation with the amendments introduced in late 2009, and identified the reasons why the democratic community and international experts do not recognize our laws consistent with generally accepted international electoral standards.
